If Only He Had An Emergency Fund

A friend recently got hospitalized for Dengue fever. He spent almost P15,000 for the hospitalization and other medical bills. He has no health insurance and he had to charge everything on his credit card. Now he is worried that he might not be able to pay it entirely next month, making him subject to high interests and fees. This is a real lesson that most of us should learn as early as possible. We should save up and build an emergency fund as soon as possible. It will rid of us of the worries and stress when these unexpected and unplanned expenses come.
